Choosing someone to help you with yours Dog's problem behaviour is like choosing someone to care for and teach your child. Not only do you want someone with the proper background, education and experience, you want to find someone you can trust and feel comfortable with and whose methods and ideas make sense to you. There are many trainers and behaviourists to choose from so I hope that by giving you some insight into my services you will make the right decision in asking me to help you and your dog. |

Being around working dogs whilst growing up in rural Teesdale, I naturally chose to work with dogs and began my professional career as Assistant Kennel Manager for The Dogstrust where I worked on the frontline with problem dogs, stray dogs and dogs surrendered for adoption. This provided an invaluable insight into why they were rehomed and the skills to support and place them in a more suitable environment.. The skills needed in Veterinary Practice (empathy, understanding, precision and forward thinking) compliment perfectly the skills needed to be a Canine Behaviourist such as practical handling, breed knowledge, dog training capabilities and a natural passion for dogs. This combination of experience both practical and theoretical is a rare combination and places me above and beyond the average dog trainer. |
