I began my career in 1994 as an Assistant Kennel Manager for The Dogstrust.
My Veterinary career started in1996, qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse with The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
In practice, I gained extensive experience in anaesthetic monitoring, emergency first aid, nurse-led clinics, and managing surgical admissions and discharges.
My years in clinical practice has shaped my strong foundation in high-quality, compassionate animal care and Canine First Aid Training.

I am dedicated to ensuring my Canine First Aid Training remains up to date and relevant.
In 2024, I successfully completed the rigorous Recover Guidelines Rescuer Certification—a high-level, hands-on Resuscitation and CPR course.
I am a strong advocate for ongoing professional development and refresher training to maintain the highest standards of practice that reflect in my teaching

I Pet Network
Rachel played a pivotal role in the development of the first ever Ofqual-regulated Canine First Aid qualification, created by iPET Network. Her input helped to set the standard for future qualifications, ensuring that animal welfare and science-led best practice remain at the heart of our work.
As an Award-Winning Training Provider within the iPET Network group, Rachel delivers first aid training to hundreds of people every year. Her real-world experience brings the curriculum to life, making every course unique and memorable. Learners regularly return to refresh their knowledge every three years, always taking away new insights and skills.
Rachel also continues to contribute her veterinary and behavioural expertise to the development of other iPET Network qualifications, helping us to ensure they remain current, relevant, and impactful'
